W illiam Lane Craig,at the age of sixteen, as a junior in high school, first heard
the message of the Christian gospel and yielded his life to Christ. After graduating
from Wheaton College, Dr. Craig married Jan (Jeannette), who was a great
support to him while going through two Master's degrees and a doctorate, before
starting a family. While raising two young children, Charity Joy, and W.M. John, Dr.
Craig pursued another doctrate from the Universität München, Germany, while
simultaneously, holding the position as Professor of Religion at Trinity. In 1987 the
Craig's settled in Belgium for several years, while Dr. Craig was Visiting Researcher
at the Université Catholique de Louvain.
Upon the Craig family's return to the United States (1994), Dr Craig started a
unique ministry, debating self-proclaimed atheists, evolutionists, and others. Such
debates have been quite fruitful in changing minds. Along with debating
intellectuals, Dr. Craig is involved in public speaking at churches, colleges, and
universities. He is currently a Research Professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of
Theology in La Mirada, California, and is Director of Reasonable Faith.
